Dear All
Part of the fun in acquiring vintage furniture is the exciting involvement in seeing through restoration and reupholstery of the pieces that you have picked up to be part of your life. One is personally involved in the nature of restoration: to retain the patina or to be fully restored, matt or gloss, shellac and lacquer or just wax, natural teak finish or darker stains? Getting the right fabric that will suit the interior decor is also an exciting challenge to one's creative instinct and taste. Quite a number, nowadays, go through great length in sourcing the perfect fabrics online rather than at the local stores. The thrill at finding the right design and colours, the anticipation of waiting, the joy of receiving them and the happy and proud knowledge that one has created an individualized piece, is what makes the whole process a fun thing.
