THE CURRENT CRAZE FOR INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE - SOME VINTAGE FINDS AT SECOND CHARM

Alongside mid century modern furniture, industrial furniture is the current craze.  Because original pieces are difficult to get, reproductions are abundant as evidenced from my last visit at the recent Singapore International Furniture Exhibition and from the internet, of course. There is no limit to their creativity in coming out with new designs and in experimenting with materials. Those concerned with sustainability and the environment, have combined metal with recycled wood.  Their efforts are certainly laudable.

Below are some vintage industrial furniture finds at SECOND CHARM.  They are still in their original conditions. Perhaps best to keep them as they are to retain their old charm. Some may need reupholstery, though.  We are able to custom made some of these industrial pieces, for your information. Included as part of this week finds are retro furniture, spindle back chairs and some french furniture best reupholstered.

Rare vintage metal chairs in original chilli red pvc upholstery.

Vintage metal typing desks of the 60's and 70's.  In original condition.

Rare vintage metal paper sorter cabinet.   The slightly bended top can easily be 

knocked back to shape. $150.

Aluminium legs chairs.  Combine them with our  long mid century table of solid vintage teak,  they will make great conference chairs and add stylishness

A classic mid century piece.

Original mid century single armchairs.  $450 each with restoration, cushions and

waiting for them for the longest time.  She simply loves the curved arms.

PLEASE NOTE:

1.  All our prices are in Singapore Dollars.  

2.  For bespoke pieces, we need a timeline of 1.5- 2 months. We will submit proper drawing,

     detailing specifications, to avoid misunderstanding.

3.  For restorations and reupholstery works, the timeline is also 1.5-2 months. Faster for loose

     upholstery works such as cushion covers and chair seats that can be hand carry.

4.  Delivery charge within Singapore is free for those above $2000.

5.  For our Malaysian customers, we do not charge transport from Singapore to our shop

     in Kuala Lumpur, but we do charge transport from our shop in KL to your home or office.

6.  For our overseas customers, outside Singapore and Malaysia, we will advise you on the shipping 

     costs. The furniture will come with proper packing materials to protect it against long distance 

     shipment
