SECOND CHARM VINTAGE COLLECTIONS: MID CENTURY MODERN DINING TABLES

We had the opportunity to get hold of some very beautiful mid century modern dining tables. Typically mid century modern, they are characterized by slim,  elegant design with beautifully tapered pencil legs.  They may look the same, but sensitive vintage lovers will know the difference even in the slightest variations of the angled legs, the lovely wood grains of vintage teak and the little marks that may tell a story.

A mid century modern dining tables with beautiful  wood grains even on 

the sides of the table. A piece that will last for a long time to come,

 witnessing memories of a lifetime.

A slightly longer piece than the above.  The length of these mid century dining

 table ranges from 140 cm to 180 cm, the later for extendable pieces, usually.

A bespoke mid century designed dining table. We custom made this one as

 it is really difficult to find one meant for 8.  L200 x D85 x 76 cm. 

Made from recycled solid teak.  $1800

Vintage spider web sewing machine legs with solid old teak top custom made for Daryl. Daryl wanted  a see through work top.  A beautiful idea as it is a shame

 to hide the lovely legs. So we cut the centre and place a glass on it.

Another long teak top on  vintage sewing machine legs we made for Irwin.

 The legs belong to him.  We got a vintage teak top of 150 x 76 cm for him.  

We have vintage teak tops of various sizes  that can be fitted securely

 to  the many sewing machine legs that we have.

Sewing machine tables must be popular because I see them so often in shops, restaurants and boutiques.  Here is one I saw in a beautiful bookshop

 that also uses vintage display cabinets and mid century dining tables 

to display their items.

Two sewing machine legs placed horizontally on a long white marble top. A wooden base is constructed to secure  the marble of substantial length of 190 cm. 

A lovely outcome. Saw this and dined on it at a trendy serviced apartment, 

which like the bookshop I visited, proudly furnishes itself with genuine vintage

 sideboards, sofas, armchairs and memorabilias of the past.
