RETRO SOFAS AND ARMCHAIRS - THE VIBRANCY OF COLOURS

Dear All

The demand  for retro and midcentury modern furniture is so great and the increasingly limited supply of original pieces, necessarily leads to reproduction. To satiate this demand, the choice for some is no longer between original and reproduction but between crude and fine reproductions, either in terms of the workmanship or in the quality of wood and materials.  Those who successfully combine fine workmanship with good quality wood and a strong pigment of creativity and imagination, while remaining true to the spirit of the times, naturally manage to win over the hearts of even the most fanatical of vintage lovers.

I,  too, was bawled over by some of the fine reproductions on my recent overseas trips and could not resist the temptations to share them with retrophiles here.  Hope you like the collections below.

tufted  buttons for a sense of contrast, held  together by beautifully

My favourite piece.  Sleek, slender, elegant and highly comfortable with

beautifully tufted matching footstool.  Rhonda who walked in on the

day our shipment arrived, immediately felt in love with it.

Which ever angle you look at this set, you can't help but fall in love with it.

Original vintage coffee table.  In beautiful solid teak. 

Makes a nice TV console too.
