Dear All
Early this morning, I was awakened by an sms from Edwin, reminding me of delivery today. I could sense the excitement in his message. "Today's e delivery ..." . He wanted to know when we are coming. "We r excited n looking forward to them". It's like D-Day for him and his lovely wife, Ivy. For us too. We have been working on their pieces for a while, some to be fully restored and some to be repainted with a new coat of paint and waiting for this day when the vintage pieces will be with their new, joyful owners.
Two tiffany lamps were collected last week and an art deco wardrobe will be due in January. But today's delivery involved quite a few pieces: a rare retro 1960's teak box bed with attached bedside cabinets, a retro 1960's teak dresser, a vintage single door white cupboard, a vintage slim white book cupboard, a vintage 1940's-50's 3-door cabinet, a midcentury modern round dining table with beautiful bended wooden legs, an open teak book shelf with pencil legs and a kid's high wooden stool with turqoise blue seat.
Waiting for the vintage furniture to arrive, Edwin smsed again and what he wrote really touched me: "We will be there to welcome them to the family". This warmth regard alone is enough reason for us to continue the work of restoration and conservation. Below are those pieces that have joined a warmth and loving family of Edwin, Ivy and their three lovely young children.

Quite a number enquired about this ultra slim book cabinet. We repainted white for Ivy. She also wanted the writings to be in gold. Somehow, they matched the white and gold porcelain knobs that
we replaced for the missing ones.

Another low teak bookshelf wanted by quite a few. But we only have
one piece. A good addition to the rest of Edwin and Ivy's pencil legs
collections.

A retro slim 1960's solid teak dresser. We strip the dull brown
formica at the top of the dresser to reveal the solid teak underneath.
The piece is perfect with pencil legs retro bed, that was taken up
by Edwin and Ivy. Unfortunately, I dont have picture of the bed.
