LATEST VINTAGE, EUROPEAN AND ORIENTAL FURNITURE FINDS AT SECOND CHARM

We got some beautiful rare finds this week. Among them; a red chinese lacquered sideboard, an antique 1920's-40's art deco bed, a finely carved mahogany table, a solid teak retro sideboard, and an elaborately carved peranakan rocking chair. Hope you find them exciting.

Beautiful Chinese sideboard in red lacquer finish. Mythological figures
donned the doors. L67.5 x D19 x H34 inches. A statement piece in any home. Reserved.

European designed side board in mahogany wood and stain.
Decorative brass handles. Taken up by Cristina

Beautiful, elegant mahogany console with fine carvings at the front
and sidewithout being excessive. L60 x D16 x H32 inches.
In good condition. $300

My favourite find of the day. Finely and elaborately carved table, with claw legs. In solid mahogany. 25 x 25 inches. Height 19.5 inches. $350

A real retro 1960's sideboard in solid teak wood. Light blue formica at
the top and cream formica on the front. In good condition.
Need minor touch up. L54 x D18 x H48 inches

Chinese style coffee table in soid teak. Goood condition.
24 x 24 inches. Height 19 inches. $150

A square retro looking coffee table with nice pencil legs. Solid teak legs.

Not sure if the top is teak, because of the laminate. But a really
heavy piece. Need restoration and be nice in a darker stains.
L34 x W34 x H17.5 inches. $150 as it is . Full restoration at $350

A cream stained dining table. Solid teak legs. Top, non teak. Parts of the lacquer stainsof the table top have peeled off. A piece for those who
wants to experiment withdifferent colours. 54 inches in diameter.
Height is standard 30 inches. As it condition $280

Marble top dining table. Diameter of marble top is 31 inches. Height 30inches.In good condition. $180

Teak legs.May require touch up and reupholstery .

A rare find of the day. A grand peranakan rocking chair.
Elaborately carved with dragon legs and phoenixs
carved head rest. In very good condition. $750

A nice thonet rocking chair. Seasoned wood.
Caneworks still in good condition.$180

A sturdy and comfortable armchair. Uphostery is still in
good condition.Brass studs lined the arms. $100

6 relatively modern dining chairs with stainless steel legs.
Velvet upholstery in very good condition. 4 pcs taken up.

A beautifully reupholstered office chair. Original chair was in white PVC. It takes the creative imagination of a young engineering lecturer, Norhisham to transform it into a retro looking piece.

Another rare find of the day. A 1920's-40's art deco bed. A grand piece with high headboard, beautiful curved edges and wooden folds distinguished by the characteristic 2 tone lacquer stains of most art deco furniture. Slightly bigger than normal queen size. W63.75 x L 77 inches. Head board 44''. Foot bed frame at 24 inches. Will come with stripped wooden base. Full restoration $1200

Chinese weapons used in martial art traning. Makes an interesting decorative display for those who love oriental furnishing. $50 per piece.

Leaving for KL later this morning. Looking forward to see Lauren McAughtry, who has booked several pieces at our KL store. Newly married and getting a new apartment, she is excited at some of the vintage finds at our store, to furnish her new home.

Also meeting Puan Fuzianah and her interior designer, Encik Rizal, to finalize the fabric for a pair of antique chairs bought last week. Several pieces that she also bought last week are coming back from restoration this weekend. She must be excited about them, because even before the restorations have been completed, she was asking when we can deliver them to her Bukit Jelutong home.
