WHY VINTAGE?

Dear All

For most of us who are crazy about anything vintage or preloved,  it is more than just a trend, more than just a fad.  The love for things vintage will remain for a long time to come.  This is because vintage strikes a deep chord within us, both at the personal and social levels. At the personal level, vintage is synonymous to memories recollected, to remembrance of things past.  It is heritage, legacy bequeathed from one generation to another. A strong sentimentalism, therefore, underlies our love for things vintage.

At the social level, the  love for things vintage represents our commitment to the environment and to sustainable development. It is our way of recycling, of reducing waste, of not cutting down trees, of reducing the carbon from manufacturing,  of upcycling, of finding new lease of life, of returning them back to the community.  It is our ultimate green way of acting and living responsibly.
